Sevin Baguirov received a Master of Science degree from the London School of Economics in addition to graduating first in her class with an LLM degree from Edinburgh Law School. She was awarded the TB Smith Prize for most distinguished scholar as well as the WA Wilson Prize for her research in the field of international criminal law.

With over a decade of solid experience in the policy-making sector, Sevin Baguirov has worked at various thinks tanks including the Center for Eurasian Studies as Human Rights Specialist. During this time, Sevin Baguirov served as Managing Editor at the peer-reviewed Journal of International Crimes and History.

The author of numerous commentaries on human rights issues, Sevin Baguirov is also the co-editor of the book International Crimes: The Case of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In her spare time, Sevin, who is a former professional swimmer, loves to hike with family and friends, try out new seasonal recipes in her home kitchen, and practice Bikram, Ashtanga, or Core Power yoga when she’s not charging full steam into an Orange Theory class.
